Kisha Thomas of Max Empowerment, LLC. is a veteran Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in the mental health field, guiding and inspiring others for the past 20 years.

A prestigious Hampton University and Georgia State University alum, Ms. Thomas brings a higher level of expertise and support to the counseling profession dedicated to the success of her clients and fellow clinicians.

Ms. Thomas is committed to working with adult and adolescent clients with a range of concerns including but not limited to grief and loss, anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance abuse, and work/life balance.

Ms. Thomas takes pride in assessing the therapeutic needs of her clients and together implementing a collaborative approach for treatment. She as well understands advising groups, couples and families can reignite a dialect that is beneficial to reshaping a household or bond.

Ms. Thomas not only finds gratification in driving her clients to improved mental wellness, but she also enjoys providing Supervision to up and coming counselors and established counseling professionals seeking consultation. As a counselor educator and licensure Supervisor, Ms. Thomas brings her savvy and motivating style and extensive experience in developing and growing these mental health professionals to their maximum potential.

Most recently, Ms. Thomas is a contributing author in the book Engaging and Working with African American Fathers: Strategies and Lessons Learned. Her chapter focuses on Engaging and Working with African American Fathers in Mental Health Services.
